No Use In Crying Over Broken Dishes

Let me take you back to what happened during the move...There I was sitting on the ground in the parking lot of my apartment crying and staring at my brand new Corelle dishes lying broken in the road. All I could think was why the hell am I moving away from the only thing I've ever known, all my friends, my family, why would I do this to myself. I think that I tried to pack the car a good 30 times before I finally just gave up, I laid down on the floor of my empty apartment and called my mom. Moms always give the best advice, and after I calmed down, I got up and started cleaning. We moved all of our stuff to my moms house for the remaining week we were going to be in town and then did a lot of relaxing with the family, we attended our good friends wedding, had lunch with some friends, and even got to spend some much needed time with my favorite little girls...until the time came for us to move.

The time had come, the day of the big move. Also the day of my little brothers graduation party, I got to hang out all day with my family and spend a little extra time with them before the big farewell. My uncle Greg, being the handy man he is rigged my car so that we could have a little extra packing space and even helped me pack my car so that we could make everything fit, he's the best! As family started leaving I started feeling slightly sentimental watching them walk away, who knows how long it would be till I see them next. At 10:30 p.m. Bob and said our last goodbyes got in the car and started to drive. The car was packed tight, we were all squished in and we were off to our new life on the islands!

I've dreamt about moving to Florida for so long, and in the back of my mind I never really knew if it would ever happen, but here it was staring me blankly in the face and it felt surreal. I wonder how long it's going to take to set in that I actually live here...We'll find out.
